La Colombe, consistently ranked in SA's top 5 restaurants and regularly placed on the World's 50 Best list, is seeking a driven Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in this Relais & Châteaux property.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the absolute pinnacle of South African gastronomy.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily mise en place and kitchen operations
• Manage and develop a team of 12 kitchen staff
• Contribute to seasonal menu development
• Maintain Relais & Châteaux quality standards
• Manage food costs and wastage reduction
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience
• At least 2 years in a senior kitchen role
• Formal culinary qualification (CCA, HTA, or equivalent)
• Experience in modern European or contemporary cuisine
• Passion for innovation and produce-led cooking
Salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
