The Westin Cape Town is looking for an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our five-star kitchen team. The Westin has over 500 rooms and our kitchen produces everything from breakfast buffet pastries to elaborate wedding cakes and individual fine-dining desserts. Key responsibilities: • Produce all pastry items for main restaurant and room service • Manage the pastry section during service • Create seasonal dessert specials in collaboration with the Head Pastry Chef • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff • Maintain HACCP food safety standards Requirements: • Professional culinary qualification with pastry focus • Minimum 3 years pastry experience in a 4- or 5-star establishment • Strong chocolate work and sugar showpiece experience advantageous • Ability to work early morning shifts and public holidays Benefits: medical aid, pension, staff cafeteria, Marriott group discounts.
